A little bit about me as an artist.
On completion of a course in Graphic design and working in publishing and advertising for a number of years, in both South Africa and Australia, I turned to fine art and began exhibiting on a more permanent basis in the early 80’s.
I set sail travelling between Australia, Africa and Asia with my husband and daughter, in the late 80's. My lap became my easel during this period and the people, out of the way anchorages and scenes encountered en-route became my main subject matter.
From race horses, race yachts, land and seascapes, portraits to commercial work, there is not much I have not covered at some point in my life.
No matter what I paint or draw, the lighting, mood or story I wish to convey is never constant, thus numerous styles can be seen in my pieces and I regularly explore new techniques and mediums.
Future Plans
I will be travelling up/down the east coast of Australia painting/drawing and exhibiting en-route over the next few years. During this trip I will be depicting the many scenes encountered as we travel through the country.
